Oddities
Without getting into the correctness of terminology,
this section includes birds that aren't their normal color,
for whatever reason. This refers to "schizochroistic-plumage"
whether it's "partially albinistic", leucistic,
melanistic, zanthochroistic, etc. It will also include birds
with deformities, as in elongated bills. Click on the photo

Escapees
Every now and then, I have an opportunity
to photograph a non-native species in the field, probably
having gained its freedom from a captive situation. So,
finally, I have a place to share these images. |

Lepidoptera (butterflies,
moths)
They say, when the birding (or bird photography)
is slow, look down. It's not hard to notice butterflies.
But to me, they're even harder identify than birds. |
