Signing up for Trips
Send me a check or cash (sorry, no credit cards),
indicating the trips in which you would like to participate. This
will give you a "firm" hold a spot. You can email, phone or fax
me to let me know for which trips you have an interest. I will
put a "soft" hold on a spot for you, like a waiting list; but
this will be mainly for my organizational use. Only your payment
will assure a spot.
Please make your checks out to BirdNUTZ. Please
indicate your desired trip dates in a note or on your check.
Send payments to:

If you let me know beforehand that you want to come
on a trip, this can improve your chances of getting a place on
the trip and can be a "tie-breaker" in case a trip overfills with
concurrent payment. I will prioritize by chronological order of
early notification.
Group Size Limits
Maximum group size for most trips will be 20 people.
The owling trips will be 10 people maximum. If there seems to
be a lack of interest in a scheduled trip, I may cancel or change
its destination with approval of those signed up.
Cancellations
If you decide to not go on a trip that you've paid
for, you may choose to apply your payment to another trip. If
you don't choose to do so, I will give you a full refund only
if you, or I, can fill the space that you vacated in time for
the trip. Otherwise, I will refund you $10 on a half-day trip
and $20 on a full-day trip. If I have to cancel the trip for my
own reasons, I will make a full refund.
The Risks of Birding
Walking, hiking and driving are the usual modes
of transportation for birding. The walking and hiking can take
us over graded trails in parks, across a meadow where no trails
exist, along a roadside with varying amounts of traffic. There
are, typically, very low risks involved with birding activities.
BirdNUTZ, as a rule, does not plan trips with excessive risks
and we avoid hazardous situations. If you participate in a BirdNUTZ
trip, you do so at your own risk. Your payment to participate
means that you accept this risk. Thanks for your understanding.
